The Indians erupt for seven runs in the top of the eleventh inning to rout the Red Sox in Boston, 13-6, to even the American League Championship Series at one game each with the series heading back to Cleveland.

A first inning RBI-double from Victor Martinez off of Boston’s Curt Schilling scored Grady Sizemore from second to give Cleveland the early 1-0 lead.

The Red Sox struck for their first runs in the third off of Fausto Carmona (Roberto Hernandez). Coco Crisp, the former Indians outfielder, led off the inning with a single and stole second. A pair of strikeouts around a Dustin Pedroia walk had Carmona nearly out of the jam, but an infield single by David Ortiz loaded the bases. Manny Ramirez worked a four-pitch walk to force in the tying run and Mike Lowell scored a pair on a single to right.

The Indians reclaimed the lead in the next half inning, as Martinez and Ryan Garko singled and Jhonny Peralta brought them both home on a three-run homer to give Cleveland a 4-3 lead. The lead became two runs on a Sizemore homer in the fifth.

Boston struck back and took the lead again on back-to-back home runs from Ramirez and Lowell off of reliever Rafael Perez, scoring three to make it 6-5 in the fifth, but Franklin Gutierrez scored Peralta in the sixth off of reliever Manny Delcarmen to knot the game up at six.

The game remained scoreless for four innings until the Tribe bats came alive in extras. Trot Nixon started the scoring against his former club, delivering a one-out single to score Sizemore. A wild pitch scored Asdrubal Cabrera before back-to-back RBI hits from Garko and Peralta made it 10-6. Gutierrez capped off the onslaught with a three-run home run off of Jon Lester.

Joe Borowski gave up two singles in the bottom of the inning, but a ground ball double play ended it.
