Lindor Triple Takes Series in Motown; Indians 4, Tigers 0

Cody Anderson pitched 7 strong innings and Francisco Lindor added to his Rookie of the Year campaign with a big two-run triple to help the Indians beat the Tigers, 4-0, on Sunday.

Anderson has registered a 2.08 ERA and allowed just seven hits in 17.1 innings since his return from the disabled list, and escaped jams in the fourth and fifth innings to keep Detroit off the board on Sunday.

Lindor, meanwhile, delivered a two-run triple after first showing bunt with no outs in the fifth. Carlos Santana and Michael Martinez added RBI singles.

Martinez, called up on Friday, had three hits, while Abraham Almonte had two; Almonte, acquired at the trade deadline for Marc Rzepczynski, is hitting .306 with seven extra-base hits in his last 13 games.
