Tribe Bats Break Loose on Saturday Night; Indians 9, Reds 4

Michael Brantley hit a three-run homer in the first inning on Saturday and the Indians never looked back, beating the Reds, 9-4.

Corey Kluber worked 7.2 innings and allowed three runs, striking out five; the nine runs of support were by far the most he’s received this year. He entered the game second in the AL in strikeouts, third in WAR and fourth in FIP.

Carlos Santana had an RBI double and Brandon Moss a two-run homer in the third, and Yan Gomes followed with a mammoth three-run homer in the seventh.
