Bullpen Falls Apart in Eighth; Orioles 4, Indians 3

The Indians fell to the Orioles, 4-3, on Friday, despite another strong start by Corey Kluber, who once again suffered from a lack of run support. After seven strong innings from Kluber, it took Marc Rzepczynski just three pitches to relinquish the decisive run in the eighth frame.

Kluber pitched seven innings, striking out 10. But he again received little run support; he left trailing 3-2, as the Orioles rallied for two runs in the sixth to take a 3-2 lead.

Brandon Moss, Ryan Raburn and Carlos Santana hit solo homers, the latter in the eighth to tie it at 3. But Jimmy Paredes and Chris Davis had back to back hits to allow the O’s to re-take the lead.
