Seager Slam Allows Seattle to Walk to Win; Mariners 9, Indians 3

The Mariners took advantage of Trevor Bauer’s three walks in the third, as Kyle Seager hit a grand slam that gave Seattle a lead it didn’t relinquish in a 9-2 win.

Bauer loaded the bases with three walks, and Seager just cleared the right-center field fence. The Mariners’ added two more in the fourth and three more (two earned) in the seventh off Austin Adams. (Adams had a 0.96 ERA in six appearances prior to Wednesday night.)

The Tribe scored in the fourth on an error and in the eighth on Zach Walters’ RBI groundout.
