Tribe Falls in Series Opener to Baltimore; Orioles 5, Indians 2

The Indians rallied to tie Baltimore in the sixth, but Adam Jones hit a go-ahead homer in the seventh in the Orioles’ 5-2 victory.

Shaun Marcum pitched 6.1 innings, allowing three runs in taking the loss. After the O’s scored two in the fourth, Jason Kipnis and Michael Brantley delivered RBI singles in the sixth – and Carlos Santana narrowly missed a three-run homer on a night when the wind was blowing in.

David Murphy had two more hits, and is hitting .366 since May 1.
