Tribe Downs Seattle Behind Sands and Marcum; Indians 4, Mariners 3

The Indians beat Seattle, 4-3, on Saturday night at Safeco Field, to register their ninth win in their last 12 games.

Cleveland got a sac fly from Nick Swisher in the first, a two-run homer from Jerry Sands in the second and an RBI single from David Murphy in the sixth.

The Mariners, meanwhile, got a two-run homer from Robinson Cano and an RBI single from Dustin Ackley in the seventh.

Shaun Marcum allowed two runs in 5.1 innings to earn the victory, while Nick Hagadone escaped a big jam in the seventh inning and Cody Allen recorded a four-out save, his 11th.
