Tribe has no Answer for Prince, Throws Game Away Late; Rangers 10, Indians 8

The Indians climbed back from a 3-0 deficit to take a 5-3 lead, then did the same from a 7-5 deficit to take an 8-7 lead on Monday. But the Rangers eventually took advantage of two late errors by Indians pitchers to win the opener of a three-game set, 10-8.

The loss ended the Tribe’s winning streak at six, but they’ve still won eight of their last 11.

Carlos Santana (solo shot) and Roberto Perez (three-run) hit homers, while Jason Kipnis, Jose Ramirez, Michael Bourn and Michael Brantley also had RBI. But throwing errors by Marc Rzepczynski and Zach McAllister allowed the Rangers to re-take the lead for good.
