Bauer Blows Through Chicago; Indians 3, White Sox 1

On a cool and blustery evening in Chicago, the hard-throwing Trevor Bauer was all the Indians needed to bring some warmth to the scoreboard. Bauer tossed 7.1 innings, allowing just one run on four hits, while walking three and striking out seven en route to a 3-1 victory.

The Indians logged single tallies in the first, fifth and eighth innings, courtesy of runs batted in by Michael Brantely, Jose Ramirez and Brandon Moss. Brantley remained hot this May with a single int he game. He is hitting .328 for the month. Jason Kipnis reached base three times, with a single, triple and hit-by-pitch. It’s the ninth time in 10 games he has reached base three times or more.

Cleveland will try to take control of the series by earning their second straight win Wednesday evening.
