Future Cleveland fan favorite Rocky Colavito is born in New York City. Colavito came up with the Indians in 1955 at the age of 21 and played five seasons with the Tribe until he was traded to Detroit. He would return to Cleveland in 1965 and lead the league in RBI that season. He would be traded again in 1967 then retire a year later after a solid 14 year career.
