Former Cleveland Indian Shawon Dunston is born on this date in Brooklyn, New York. Dunston came up as a highly touted prospect with the Chicago Cubs but later became a “journeyman” in the late part of his career. He had a brief stint in Cleveland appearing in 62 games in 1998. He hit .237 and provided depth at second base, shortstop and left field.
