Clippers Promotions Fill The Calendar
By Sean Tuttle
With the opening of the 2012 season just days away, one team affiliated with the Tribe can’t wait for their opening ceremonies. When the Columbus Clippers open their doors on Thursday April 5th, the first 3,000 fans will receive the National Championship caps. The Clippers will be celebrating back-to-back National Championships, and competing for the three peat.
Fans will get more than just great baseball this season, but a promotional schedule that has something planned for every home game. The question is, how many Sugardale hot dogs can you eat? Every Monday night is Sugardale Dime-A-Dog Night where Sugardale hotdogs are only a ten cents all night.
If your kids like going to the famous Columbus Zoo or just like exotic animals, bring them to see the Clippers on Tuesday May 15th when the Columbus Zoo comes to the Clippers. Barbeque ribs are only a dollar per bone all evening, but only feed the animals you bring and not the ones from the zoo.
Wednesdays are .50 cent wing nights from Roosters at Huntington Park. This event happens nine times this season, so make sure you plan your calendars accordingly.
In the mood for some good music? Every Friday and Saturday night the Clippers host party-at-the-park featuring live bands courtesy of John Schwab entertainment.
Parents can give their kids a view of what boot camp is like on Saturday, July 28th as WWE superstar Sgt. Slaughter will be making a guest appearance to Huntington Park.
Make sure you clear your calendars on Thursday, June 7th, as the Clippers will hold a special ceremony for recently inducted International League Hall of Famer, Dave Eiland.
