Cleveland’s stick to the finish club – more than 1,000 jostling, noisy fans – tonight saw the Indians entrain for Boston and their playoff game for the American League pennant.

The Tribesmen entered the Union Terminal singly and in groups of two and three, and with recognition of each new arrival cheers went up from the crowd.

Manager Lou Boudreau got the biggest sendoff of all from the milling mob around the entrance to the train ramp. Included in the throng were all the Cleveland Baseball Club office workers who took time out from their big job of preparing World Series tickets for distribution.

The Indians replied with a wave or a grin to the greetings bur hardly a word was spoken as the Tribe stalked to their train.

Another regular train leaving shortly after the Indians special was to carry several hundred fans to the championship game.
