Former Cleveland center fielder Michael Bourn is born in Houston, Texas.

Bourn spent parts of three seasons with the Indians from 2013 to 2015, losing time to injuries along the way. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2003 amateur draft by the Philadelphia Phillies and spent his first two seasons with the team in 2006 and 2007.

Following the 2007 season, he was dealt back to his hometown team, the Houston Astros, as part of a four-player swap that included closer Brad Lidge. He became an All-Star in Houston, making the National League team in 2010 while leading the league in steals and winning a Gold Glove award for the second straight season.

He was traded to the Atlanta Braves at the July deadline in 2011, netting the Astros four prospects in return. He would tie a career high with 61 stolen bases that season and would be an All-Star again in 2012. He signed with the Tribe following that season and was traded back to the Atlanta organization in early August of 2015 with Nick Swisher for corner infielder Chris Johnson and cash.
