The Indians beat the Brewers for a second straight night, 6-2, to sweep the teams’ two-game series at Progressive Field.
Cleveland has won six of seven at home and eight of 13 overall, and had 10 or more hits for the ninth straight home game – the first time the club has accomplished that feat since 1992.
Jason Kipnis drove a two-run double to left in the second (a third run scored on an error), scoring Abraham Almonte (single) and Jerry Sands and Jose Ramirez (walks). Lonnie Chisenhall doubled in the third and later scored on a wild pitch, and Chisenhall singled home Lindor in the fourth for a 5-1 lead. Kipnis added a solo homer in the eighth.
