Salazar Sizzles as Tribe Takes Out O’s; Indians 2, Orioles 1

Danny Salazar supplied the slumping Indians offense with seven innings of one-run ball and a sixth inning double by Carlos Santana broke a one-all tie as Cleveland claimed a 2-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday afternoon.
Salazar led the way for the Tribe with seven solid innings on the mound, striking out ten batters while walking just one. He allowed one run, a Manny Machado home run in the third, on six hits to win his sixth game of the year. In addition to Santana’s RBI hit, Nick Swisher drove Santana in as a response run in the third to tie the game at one.
Cody Allen closed out the ninth for his 13th save of the season. He walked Chris Davis with one out, but Yan Gomes threw him out attempting to move up after a strikeout pitch to Matt Wieters rolled away from the Indians backstop, but he recovered in time to erase the potential tying run at second.
