Thursday evening the Tribe used a pair of first inning homers from Mike Aviles and Nick Swisher to mount a four-run inning. It was enough to take the Tribe to a 5-2 win in the Windy City.
Danny Salazar fired six strong innings, allowing just five hits and three walks, while striking out eight. Ryan Webb and Marc Rzepczynski each chipped in with scoreless efforts before Bryan Shaw gave up a pair in the ninth inning.
