Current Cleveland center fielder Michael Bourn is born in Houston, Texas.
Bourn will enter his tenth Major League season in 2015 and his third with the Indians. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2003 amateur draft by the Philadelphia Phillies and spent his first two seasons with the team in 2006 and 2007.
Following the 2007 season, he was dealt back to his hometown team, the Houston Astros, as part of a four player swap that included closer Brad Lidge. He became an All-Star in Houston, making the National League team in 2010 while leading the league in steals and winning a Gold Glove award for the second straight season.
He was traded to the Atlanta Braves at the July deadline in 2011, netting the Astros four prospects in return. He would tie a career high with 61 stolen bases that season and would be an All-Star again in 2012. He signed with the Tribe following that season.
