Kenny Lofton swipes two bases and scores both runs in Cleveland’s 2-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox in 13 innings at Comiskey Park. Lofton has three hits in six at bats. Eric Plunk earns his eighth win with three and two-thirds innings of one-hit relief and Steve Olin saves his 25th game of the season.
The two thefts give Lofton 54 stolen bases on the season, breaking the American League record of 53 set back in 1909 by Donie Bush.
