Future Cleveland infielder Aaron Boone is born in La Mesa, California. Boone, the son and grandson of former Major League players, signed with Cleveland as a free agent in June of 2004. He was injured and would miss that entire season but spent the following two seasons with the Tribe. After producing a respectable 16 home runs and 60 RBI in 2005, his numbers dropped considerably the next year and quickly fell out of favor with the team. He would be let go at the end of the 2006 season and retired in 2009 after 12 Major League seasons.
