Frank Lane quits as General Manager of the Cleveland Indians to take the same post with the Kansas City Athletics. Lane served as Cleveland’s General Manager for just over three years and made one of the most controversial moves in the team’s history when he traded star outfielder Rocky Colavito to Detroit in 1959.
