Today in Tribe History: November 11, 1962
Future Cleveland Indians outfielder Cory Snyder is born in Inglewood, California. Snyder was drafted fourth overall by the Tribe in 1984 as a power hitting shortstop out of Brigham Young University. He would make his debut two years later and play a total of five seasons with Cleveland. Snyder would change positions from shortstop to right field and quickly become known for his laser, rocket arm. His second season was arguably his best when he set career highs in games (157), runs scored (74), home runs (33) and RBI (82).
