The Cleveland Indians trade pitcher Greg Swindell to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for pitchers Jack Armstrong, Scott Scudder and Joe Turek. Swindell was drafted second overall in the 1986 amateur draft by the Indians but never really panned out as the left-handed ace they were hoping for. His best season came in 1988 when he won 18 games. Swindell would pitch for 17 seasons before retiring after the 2002 season.
