Today in Tribe History: February 10, 2011
The Indians sign shortstop Orlando Cabrera, one of the last remaining unsigned free agents of the off-season, to a one-year deal. Cabrera helped the Reds to the NL Central title the previous year. Cabrera will start the 2011 season as the Tribe’s starting second baseman, but struggles and loses playing time. He is traded to the San Francisco Giants before the trade deadline.
