A group led by Cleveland native Alva Bradley and John Sherwin buys the Cleveland Indians for $1,000,000. During the group’s tenure they signed Bob Feller and took a chance on making Lou Boudreau manager. They would sell the team to Bill Veeck in 1946, two years before the team would win its final World Series title.
