Hall of Famer and former Cleveland manager/player Al Lopez passes away at the age of 97. As a player Lopez established a major league record for career games played at catcher. Lopez was best known for his career as a manager, being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1977 for his accomplishments. He managed the Tribe for six seasons from 1951-1956. Lopez ranks first in team history for winning percentage (.617), fourth in wins (570) and won an American League pennant in 1954.
