Former Cleveland Indians outfielder Jorge Orta is born on this date 62 years ago in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico. Orta spent two seasons in Cleveland (1980-81) that included an All-Star appearance in his first year. He might be best remembered by Tribe fans for his big game in the Len Barker Perfect Game. Orta went 3-for-4 in that game with a solo homerun.
