Hall of Famer and former Cleveland manager/player Al Lopez passes away at the age of 97. Lopez finished his 19 year playing career with the Indians in 1947 before becoming their manager in 1951. He would manage the team for six seasons, winning an American League pennant in 1954 and is the franchise’s all-time leader in win percentage for managers. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1977 and was the oldest living inductee at the time of his death.
